Terms and Conditions

Veterinary Consent - Veterinary Physiotherapists have a requirement to only treat under veterinary referral or consent by the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966. Therefore consent from the animal's veterinarian is required prior to any veterinary physiotherapy treatment. The Veterinary Consent form can be found here.

Animal condition - All animals receiving veterinary physiotherapy treatment must be clean and dry for effective treatment to take place. Please allow time to wash (and dry) and/or brush your animal before the appointment.

Right to refuse treatment - Physiotherapy treatment will cease in the event that an animal requires veterinary assessment/treatment, if the animal is considered to be a danger to the physiotherapist, or if the animal and/or environment is unsuitable for treatment. In these cases the client is liable to pay 50% of the treatment fee.

Cancellation Policy - Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment will incur a 50% charge of the treatment fee. Cancellations made with under 24 hours notice will be liable to pay the full treatment. Certain circumstances will not result in cancellation charges, such as the animal contracting an infectious disease or extreme weather conditions that prevent travel.

Payment - Payments are to be made prior to or at the time of appointment through bank transfer, online payment (such as PayPal), chip and pin card, or contactless (includes Apple Pay and Google Wallet). Payment for physiotherapy packages should be set up as a monthly standing order and are to be paid over a 12 month period (full terms stated on the package contract). In exceptional circumstances which result in a payment not being made during or prior to the appointment, the payment must be completed within 7 days following the appointment, failure to pay within these 7 days will result in a late payment charge being added to the original fee.

Insurance - Insurance companies may reimburse you for veterinary physiotherapy treatment fees. All fees must be paid for up front, invoices and receipts will be provided for you to submit to your insurance company, please note that it is your responsibility to confirm that your claim is approved and that physiotherapy costs will be reimbursed to you by your insurers.

Mileage - Areas over 15 miles from DE65 are charged at 45p per mile, this is still applicable to those paying for Physiotherapy Packages. Client Confidentiality - All client details are protected by the Client Confidentiality Law within the Veterinary Surgeon's Act 1966. No information about clients or their animals will be discussed or disclosed to any third parties without consent.

Clinical Records - All records are retained by Stride Out Veterinary Physiotherapy, these records and any other relevant information may be forwarded to veterinarians or other paraprofessionals involved with your animal if requested by or consented to by the client.

​

Data Protection -  All client data is protected, complying with the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). There are instances where sharing of data is specifically required, such as passing clinical histories and case records onto insurers. No details are passed on to other agencies.
