Canine Physiotherapy

Veterinary Physiotherapy is beneficial for all dogs, from house pets and yard/farm companions to showing, working and sporting dogs. It helps to optimise performance, reduce risk of future problems developing and to rehabilitate injuries and manage chronic conditions, restoring and maintaining function keeping your dog happy and healthy.

This is achieved by completing a thorough assessment of your dog, then treating with various manual techniques and electrotherapies, before completing the session with some prescribed exercises to complete between sessions.

 

Manual techniques used include: Massage, Stretching, Myofascial release, Trigger Point release and Mobilisations

 

Electrotherapies include: Class 3b Laser, Therapeutic Ultrasound and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMFT)

 

Veterinary physiotherapy can help treat the following:

Initial Physiotherapy Appointment

£50

The initial appointment is required before any further physiotherapy treatment takes place. It allows us to gain knowledge about your animals history, address any concerns or diagnoses and discuss future goals. This also includes a thorough static, dynamic and physical assessment, along with some treatment, ending with some prescribed exercises to complete between physiotherapy sessions. 

Follow-up Physiotherapy Appointment

£45

Regular follow-up appointments, these still include taking of your animal's history and a thorough assessment to understand how your animal is progressing, these sessions allow for increased treatment time. All appointments that take place following the initial appointment are follow-ups. A 10% discount is available for follow-up appointments when treating 3 or more animals in the same location.

Greeting Session

£30

For dogs who may be anxious for effective physiotherapy assessment and treatment to take place, we offer greeting sessions as the perfect opportunity to meet the physiotherapist and introduce some very basic massage and exercises when your dog feels comfortable enough, these sessions last approximately 30 minutes.

Maintenace Package

£20 per month

The maintenance package is a 12 month package perfect for clients requiring a few regular check ups a year this package includes six Follow-up Physiotherapy Appointments (Saving £30 a year). Please note an initial physiotherapy appointment must be completed prior to discussing if this package is appropriate for you and your dog.
